I listed 11 best baby products you will need for your baby to make you and your baby feel comfortable and at ease during the newborn stage.
We live in a teeny, tiny 1 bedroom apartment. About 730 sq ft. I am not really into “stuff”. Nothing makes me happier than throwing things away (ask David) my hubby. So, I wanted to keep our baby gear to just the bare essentials, otherwise we would get overrun and fill our house. I always like to keep things simple and affordable since babies outgrow their stuff pretty fast.
Narrowing it down to my top newborn favorites that I used daily. These products are very useful. Till today, almost all these products I am still using. These were great purchases that I don’t regret buying. Hoping these products are a life saver for you too.

Solly Baby Wrap #1 Best Baby Product
- I recently bought this baby wrap and baby and I enjoy walks using this baby wrap.
- This Wrap got a great use during our first year
- We used it to go grocery shopping, walks, cleaning, and bonding!
Highly recommend!
Swaddle Blankets
- A must-have and true lifesaver for new parents.
- Great use in various ways such as swaddling, receiving and tummy time blankets, nursing privacy covers, burp cloths, stroller cover or changing table cover.
- Overall I use it for swaddling her at nights. She sleeps longer when I swaddle her, just make sure to have the large sized swaddle blankets too. I had some small and those were only good for the first month.
Maternity Pillow/Nursing Pillow
- It is a MULTIPURPOSE PILLOW – can use this pillow to sit upright in bed to read, watch TV, or work on the laptop.
- Also makes an excellent nursing pillow too! Which is why I love this pillow. I wrap it all around my waist to nurse my baby girl while having back support and arm rest support.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND DURING PREGNANCY AND AFTER! WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE COMFORTABLE!
The Boppy Bare Naked Feeding and Infant Support Pillow.

Tummy Time Mat
- As soon as my daughters umbilical stump fell off I was able to have her do tummy time, which was at 3 weeks old.
- This polar bear mat offers support for all baby’s wiggles and kicks.
- Baby can also explore crinkle sounds, rattles and other toy attachments.
- Made to fit well in small space and easy to store away.
Or if you want to splurge on a tummy time mat, Lovevery Play Gym has great reviews. I wish I knew about it when my daughter was a baby.
Infant Sleeper
- Another favorite of mine. I bought the infant sleeper to use at my parents when visiting. Since obviously don’t have a crib in their house.
- This infant sleeper came in handy at my house too. I place this sleeper on the couch when I’m in the living room or cooking.
- This Baby sleeper creates a more protective, open area for baby in bed.
- The sleeper folds easily and compactly.
Swing
- This swing was passed down to me from a friend. Hands down the best swing.
- Baby girl enjoys it. The swing seems to relax her because she falls asleep real quickly after I put her in.

Changing Pad
- Having a changing pad is a life saver.
- I place the changing pad on the bed and on the couch. I like it better than laying a blanket underneath because I’ve had several accidents happen that as I’m changing her diaper baby girl decides to make explosions and having the changing pad is very easy to clean up.
